Knitting Airfiled to Aran - Getting the nation to knit!
Airfield Estate have set a challenge to get the country knitting for Cruinniú na nÓg.
Cavan and Monaghan Libraries are promoting this fantastic event by giving out 50 knitting kits to children living in counties Cavan and Monaghan.

Join Artistic Director of Monaghan Youth Theatre, Krista Hamilton, for a taster Acting workshop to celebrate Crunniú na nÓg 2021! After being cooped up in lockdowns, let your creativity OUT and come along to a fun introduction to acting exploring drama through warmup exercises, improv and games.
Following Covid guidelines, participants will be limited to 15 and workshops will take place outside the Garage Theatre for 1hr 30min. The atmosphere will be friendly and supportive with young people encouraged to be themselves and celebrate their creativity through the medium of drama.

Percussionist Peter Crann from We Drum Ireland has been introducing people of all ages and abilities to the fascinating world of percussionfor over 20 years. He brings a huge collection of drums from around the world and will have participants playing an infectious piece of Samba drumming all together by the end of the fast-moving and humorous workshop

Kate Ellis and Caimin Gilmore in association with the Patrick Kavanagh Centre Present ‘We Used to Play Here’

Join us in Inniskeen and Carrickmacross for a series of unique concerts celebrating the visceral experience of live music-making, inside an intimate and safe pop-up venue.

Throughout June – September ‘21, musicians Kate Ellis & Caimin Gilmore will travel to rural locations in each Irish province, for a series of intimate live performances inside a specially commissioned mobile venue.

Kate & Caimin will visit Bray, Monaghan, Inishbofin and Cape Clear, weaving new music from electronic artist Neil O’Connor, composer Amanda Feery and pro-skater Sam Perkin alongside traditional music and improvisation, creating one-off performances in each location.

The performance space was designed and built by architectural designer, Shane Sugrue, of Unqualified Design and is specifically designed for socially distanced concerts, in a variety of outdoor terrains for audiences of up to 6, with artwork designed and painted by artist Shane O’Driscoll.

Tickets: Please note that this is a socially distanced event with limited capacity. Tickets are sold in pairs of 2 for €20.
